Privacy policy
This explains what information we collect when you visit initeverest.com, contact us, or bring a device in for repair — and what we do with it. The short version: we use it to fix your device and talk to you about the repair, and we never sell it.

01Who we are
InitEverest LLC (“InitEverest,” “we,” “us”) is an electronics repair shop at 585A 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215. You can reach us at (929) 508-7843 or privacy@initeverest.com.
02What we collect
Information you give us. When you send a quote request or book a drop-off time, we collect your name, phone number, email address (if you provide it), your device and model, the repair you need, your chosen drop-off time, and any notes you add. If you contact us on behalf of a business or school, we also collect your organization's name and details about its devices and IT needs. When you chat with us, call, or text, we receive your messages and phone number. When you drop off a device, we record your contact details, the device's make, model and condition, and any passcode you choose to give us for testing.
Information collected automatically. This website does not use analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. Some features load services from other companies, described below, and those companies may receive your IP address and browser information when they load.
03Services from other companies
A few parts of this website are provided by third parties, each covered by its own privacy policy:
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on every page.
- Google Maps loads only when you click “Show map” on the home page.
- Google reviews are loaded from Google when you scroll to the reviews section. Google may set cookies when this happens.
- tawk.to powers our live chat. It loads a few seconds after a page opens and uses cookies to keep your chat conversation going between pages.
- Web3Forms receives quote requests and booking requests submitted through our forms and delivers them to us.
You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and tawk.to's at tawk.to/privacy-policy.
04How we use your information
We use your information to reply to your questions and quote requests, carry out and test repairs, contact you about your repair (for example, to approve a price or tell you it's ready), keep business and tax records, and protect against fraud. We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.
05Data on your device
We access what's on your device only as far as we need to test the repair — for example, checking that the camera, speakers and touchscreen work. We don't browse, copy or keep your personal files.
The exception is when you ask us to recover or transfer your data. In that case we copy only what's needed to complete the job, hand it back to you, and delete our working copy within 30 days of returning it.
If you give us your passcode, we use it only for testing, store it with your repair ticket, and delete it when you pick up your device. You can change your passcode after pickup.
Devices you trade in are erased before they are reused, resold or recycled. Please sign out of your accounts and remove your SIM and any memory cards first.
06When we share information
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, with parts suppliers or manufacturers when needed to complete a repair (limited to device details, not your personal files), or when required by law.
07How long we keep it
We keep repair records, including your contact details and the work done, for three years so we can honor warranty claims and meet tax and record-keeping requirements. Quote requests that don't turn into a repair are deleted after 12 months. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, except where we're required to keep it.
08How we protect it
We limit access to customer information to the people who need it to do the repair, keep devices in the shop secured when we're closed, and use reputable providers for our forms and chat. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
09Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or email us and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though chat may not keep your conversation between pages.
10Children
This website isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online. Minors who bring in a device for repair should come with a parent or guardian.
11Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
